Thanks to the success of our SOLD OUT show in March, World-Wide Comedy returns to Poznan for another evening of live comedy in English!
World-Wide Comedy has been producing monthly stand-up comedy shows in English for 4 years, entertaining both foreigners living in Poland as well as English speaking Polish locals. Having created vibrant comedy cultures in Wroclaw, Krakow, and Lodz, World-Wide Comedy hopes to do the same for the Poznan English speaking community!
The evening will start with an open-mic hosted by Swedish comedian Samuel Galindo, where anyone can get on stage for 5 minutes and tell jokes. Space will be limited, so if you're interested, send a message to World-Wide Comedy via our fanpage. BONUS: All open-mic performers get one free beer from the bar!
Following the open-mic, Derrek Carriveau will perform his headline show that has delighted audiences all across Poland, as well as in Czech.
About the performers:
Derrek Carriveau is an American comedian living in Wroclaw, Poland. Derrek brings the latest edition of his headline show “A Room with a Carriveau” which highlights his wit, wordplay, and wrong-doings in all their splendid glory on topics such as raising bilingual children, hotel amenities, and style. Armed with a whiskey-warm voice, martini-dry charm, and an over-reliance on alcohol metaphors, he aims his boozy humor at everyday life for something acerbic and honest.
Samuel Galindo is a Swedish originating comic, as well as a medical student in his final year of study in Wroclaw. Instead of attending therapy, Sam decided to become a part of the local comedy scene in Wroclaw to share his issues in public. Over the past 2 years Sam has performed in Krakow, Szczecin, Prague, and Brno. His almost-coherent ramblings touch on topics close to every human heart, such as love, Cambodia, and Kanye West.
